Trello Project Management & Organization: Sync w/ Google Calendar

Project Management & Organization has never been easier and so fun! Today I am introducing to you: Trello, which has been an absolute lifesaver as far as project management and organization. Honestly, Trello is not just great for business but it is also so helpful for your personal life too. The great thing about it is that it is FREE, and it is available both on desktop and mobile app.

What is Trello?

Trello is a task management tool and a collaboration tool that you can utilize to organize your projects into a board. Also, within each board, you have cards which work as lists which tell you what is being worked on, who on your team is working on certain projects, and when something is in progress. You can add due dates, comments, upload file attachments, create checklists, add labels and more.

For Google Chrome users, there is an extension called “Planyway” and it now syncs to the Trello boards to your Google Calendar. It’s a 2 way sync, really easy to install and get started.

    Hi Madelyn,

I have just registered Trello. I walk through the introduction and find there is 4 main areas idea, to do, doing, and done cards zone? It seems to be interesting to invite people related to a project to join together.

I have a question here. What is the difference between others’ calender and Trello’s? I know most calendar can have sharing functions. I add Panway to my Chrome, but I have no idea about how to use it.

Hi George, happy to hear you joined Trello. Hopefully once you get the hang of it, it will be very useful to you. Click here for a more in depth video on Trello and its features which will answer some of your questions. Your board list are not just limited to-to do, doing, and done cards- but that is an example of how you could use it to manage your task/projects, by making list under your to do, and moving them along to doing and done cards as you work on each task. Youtube as a lot of great videos on different ways to use it to manage and organize your business, you can even check out Trello’s main youtube, their webinars are useful. Click here for a really quick video on getting started with Planyway. It’ll sync Trello with your calendar. If you’re looking to use Trello for team collaborations click here to check out their webinar addressing this, lots of information.

Everyone works differently, so it all depends on your personal preference. But for me, hands down, I’m in love with Trello. It keeps everything from my business to personal life super organized. If you want to see a side by side in how it compares to other project management tools, I did notice that Youtube has some great user reviews. Thanks for taking the time to comment and wishing you and your partner the best in your endeavors.
